Praise Notes 10-11-2019

Every Friday, "Praise Notes" are read during morning announcements. These students are called to the office and get thier picture taken. Students can earn a "Praise Note" by being caught doing kind things throughout the school and classrooms.

Lost and Found

Our lost and found is overloaded with coats, jackets and unnamed lunchboxes. These items will be donated the before Fall Break. Please have your child check the lost and found for any missing items.

We even have two pair of maroon football pant pads that have been left in our field.

Screenagers

Nebo School District and Spanish Fork City have partnered together to offer a special viewing of the film, Screenagers. This event will be held on October 14th, at 7:00 p.m. in the Spanish Fork High School auditorium. 

Screenagers is a film that reveals the impact tech time has on kids’ development. It also offers solutions on how adults can navigate the digital world and empower kids to find balance.

Love and Logic Parenting Workshop There's a lot of advice out there on how to raise your kids -- some is better than others. “Love and Logic” is a favorite of therapists, family life educators, teachers, principals and most importantly parents. It's practical, easy to learn and very effective. Come and enjoy this fun, upbeat, useful and free workshop!

Where: Salem Jr. High in the Media Center 598 N. Main, Salem

Dates: Tuesdays- Nov 5, Nov 12, Nov 19 (all three for the full course)

Time: 6:00-8:00 pm

Cost: provided Free by Nebo School District Manuals are $12 each

Monica Rudd CCBD Award Winner!

Kendra McPherson had the honor of nominating Monica Rudd, a Special Education teacher at Sierra Bonita Elementary, for an award at this year's CCBD Conference focusing on Tough Kids. Kendra chose Monica because she believes she honestly cares about and loves our most difficult children in a way that no one else does. Below you will see the nomination for her and attached are the pictures from that day. Monica was so surprised by this award and has continually expressed her gratitude for it ever since that day. We just LOVE HER!
