Kendra McPherson had the honor of nominating Monica Rudd, a Special Education teacher at Sierra Bonita Elementary, for an award at this year's CCBD Conference focusing on Tough Kids. Kendra chose Monica because she believes she honestly cares about and loves our most difficult children in a way that no one else does. Below you will see the nomination for her and attached are the pictures from that day. Monica was so surprised by this award and has continually expressed her gratitude for it ever since that day. We just LOVE HER!

"Monica is incredible with our students with significant behavioral and emotional needs. She makes sure to make time in her schedule each day for those students to come to her classroom just to have a safe space where they know they are loved. She also assures that any accommodations those students may need to be successful are happening not only in her classroom but in the general education classroom as well. Monica has the most patience of anyone I know and radiates kindness and love."

Congratulations Monica Rudd!!
