Wish Upon A Star - Message from our PTA

Submitted by tiffany.manwaring on Wed, 12/14/2016 - 14:39

Hi Parents,

If you are still looking for an idea of what do for your child's teacher for Christmas, please consider fulfilling one of their wishes for their classroom!  We want to remind you that the PTA is sponsoring the Wish Upon a Star program for our teachers.  We have asked teachers to let us know what things they need for their cl assrooms for the rest of the year. Many teachers still have unfulfilled wishes.
If you would like to fill a wish, look for the poster surrounded by tree ornaments outside the classroom door.  The ornaments have a specific item that the teacher could really use. If you haven't already taken the opportunity, please take a minute to choose an ornament with an item that you would like to supply for your teacher and then return the item to the teacher before the break. If you've already chosen an ornament, please remember to return the item to the teacher. :)

Thank you for your support of our teachers!

Food/Sock Drive

Submitted by tiffany.manwaring on Mon, 12/12/2016 - 15:52

Hi Parents!

The Student Council is holding a Christmas Needs Drive and will be collecting non-perishable food items and new socks from December 12th through the 19th. If you would like to donate any food or socks, please have your child bring canned or non-perishable food items and socks to his/her classroom.

The food donated will be collected in each classroom and then put on display by each grade level in the form of a creative sculpture. The more items a class collects, the better chance the grade has at winning a prize.

After, the food will be donated to families in need in our school community. Any extra food will be donated to a local food pantry. The socks will be donated to The Christmas Box Non-Profit Organization.

Thank you!
