Our next Student Community Council meeting will be held on October 3rd at 12:40pm in the conference room.

School Motto Suggestions:

We look forward to adding a school motto to Sierra Bonita, and we invite all school community members to assist by sharing ideas for our motto.  If you have a suggestion for a motto please fill out the blue form which has been sent home with your child or pick one up at the office.  Please complete the forms by Friday, September 23, 2011.  Thank you.

Thank you to the families and community who supported our school carnival. Faculty, staff and PTA members feel the carnival was a huge success and that a great time was had by all.  Families were able to enjoy exciting inflatable rides and games with prizes.  The silent auction showed some fierce competition among bidders for some wonderful baskets put together by the PTA through donations by the parents of Sierra Bonita Elementary.  Thanks to everyone for their hard work.  We hope everyone had a fantastic experience!

Monday, September 12  School Carnival

TICKETS!  We are preselling tickets for the carnival this week.  The tickets are 5 for $1 and you can also purchase a wrist band (good for all of the games and rides) for $8 each.  Come into the office to purchase tickets early from September 6-9th.  Tickets will also be on sale the evening of the carnival.

We enjoyed a wonderful experience on Friday as the School Board, school employees, families and community members participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony.  Mr. Larsen addressed the audience and welcomed all to the new Sierra Bonita Elementary School.  He expressed appreciation to the faculty, community, architect and contractors for all of their hard work and support.
