Kindy 500

Submitted by janna.slye on

Kindergarten students and parents enjoyed Sierra Bonita's annual Kindy 500!  Students brought box vehicles and paraded through the halls. They also learned about our Nation's symbols.  Thank you to all the parents who were able to help out.

Eagle Scout Project

Submitted by janna.slye on

A huge "thank you" goes to Jack Francis and Austin Livingston for making bookcases for Sierra Bonita.  Austin previously attended Sierra Bonita and wanted to "give back" by creating an Eagle Scout project that included his elementary school.  The boys made beautiful bookshelves that will be used in Miss Cope, Mrs. Sanders, Mrs. Snyder, and the trustlands room.

Science Fair Data

Submitted by tiffany.manwaring on

A few 6th grade students asked the Principal, Mr. Larsen, to help them with their science fair project. He had to be blind-folded and try to guess the flavors of five Jelly Beans. The students loved getting data from their very own Principal!  Another student, Sophie Merril, commented saying "Mr. Larsen always warms my heart with how nice he is". We sure are lucky to have such a great Principal here at Sierra Bonita Elementary. Thanks for all you do for the students, staff and faculty members!

MMHS Baseball Players Read to Sierra Bonita Students!

Submitted by tiffany.manwaring on

Students were so excited when they heard the news they would be having Maple Mountain High School Baseball players come read to them! Mrs. Sanders class enjoyed having the MMHS Baseball coach, Mr. Miner, read to them as well! We appreciate Coach Miner and the players for taking time out of their schedule to read to our students. We loved having them here at Sierra Bonita!
