Every Friday, "Praise Notes" are read during morning announcements. These students are called to the office and get thier picture taken. Students can earn a "Praise Note" by being caught doing kind things throughout the school and classrooms. Our very first "Praise Note" goes to Summer Sperry, a third grader from Mrs. Graves class! Way to go!

Also, great job to all the other student pictured with her above, who also received praise notes this week. What a great way to start the year!

We welcome you to attend our school "Open House" on Tuesday, August 18th from 1:00pm-3:00pm.  Come in and meet your new teacher and see your classroom!

The first day of school for 1st-6th grade is Wednesday, August 19th at 9:00am. Kindergarten begins August 26th.

School Registration

We invite everyone to please attend school registration. School registration is for all new and returning students and will take place on Thursday, July 30, from 7:30am-4:00pm.

Students new to Sierra Bonita will need to have a birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of residency documentation.

We are saddened to hear about the death of one of our students at Sierra Bonita Elementary. Tyrell Strong, 12, who passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 20th. Tyrell was loved by all the Faculty, Staff, and Students. I can't thank everyone enough for all your support making Tyrell's balloon release so special. Tyrell touched many lives during his short time here on earth.

As we close the 2014-2015 school year, we would like to thank all of you for your support on behalf of our school! We have the most wonderful parents, students and community. We would like to congratulate the following students for receiving the "Terrific Kids Award" from the Spanish Fork Kiwanis club! Kelsey Caldwell, Adalynn Keisel, Isabelle Nielson, Rachel Wasden, Carter Blair, Hayden Christensen, Ethan Marsh, Theodore "Teddy" Wright.

These student were given an award and had their names engraved on a plaque that is displayed in the school office.

4th grade had a great day at the "Discovery Museum" at Thanksgiving Point.

Students in the 3rd grade participated in the Mapleton Track and Field day. We would like to congratulate all those who participated and placed in this fun event!
