National Anthem

Submitted by janna.slye on

Every Monday morning at Sierra Bonita, students have the opportunity to sing the National Anthem. This wonderful tradition was started 5 years ago by our very own Halee Crowther. As a second grade student, Halee hummed and sang her way through the day to help calm her fears. When given the opportunity to sing the Monday morning anthem, she took a chance. Sierra Bonita students and staff have continued to enjoy many outstanding encore performances.

Carnival

Sierra Bonita's annual carnival was a success despite the rain. Students enjoyed the pop walk, pin the tie on Mr. Larsen, and our very own fortune teller, Mr. Loreen. Thank you to everyone who came out to support Sierra Bonita.

Aaliyah Rose

Carnival goers had the pleasure of watching Aaliyah Rose, a local singer and songwriter, perform last night. At a young age Aaliyah started sharing her passion for music through YouTube videos. When her videos were noticed by Disney Radio she was asked to perform “Let it Go” at the 2014 Radio Disney Music Awards. Aaliyah, a familiar face at Sierra Bonita’s carnivals, ended the night perfectly with the well-known Meghan Trainer song, "Like I’m Gonna Lose You."
