The third graders at Sierra Bonita Elementary had the opportunity to sell Otter Pops during school. They wanted to go on a fantastic field trip snowshoeing-skiing but didn't have the money for it. To help raise money they purchased three large boxes of Otter Pops and each class took a turn selling them during lunch recess. The students would take money with their teachers’ help, snip the ends of the Otter Pops off, and even clean up the wrappers. They sold the Otter Pops for 8 days and they made close to $300. Next year, they plan on starting earlier in the year and ending a few days later. The students really enjoyed the cold treats during recess.
