We have an exciting and fun opportunity for your 5th and 6th grade students. Every year Provo's Freedom Festival invites over 3000 students to come and participate in the Hope of America student Showcase. This is a great patriotic program that they will never forget. The music is amazing and teaches history, love of country and about being a good citizen of the United States.
In preparation for this program rehearsals will be held friday mornings from 8:00 am-8:45am in the bears den beginning January 3, 2020. Our school has chosen to perform on Thursday May 7, 2020. If your student is involved in another activity that conflicts with rehearsals and still wants to participate in Hope of America, they can. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will work with you.
Information was sent home with your student last week. I have attached the form that they received below. Please return the bottom portion of the form to your student's teacher and register online at http://www.hopeofamerica.org and pay the $10 as soon as possible. After that I will bring your student a CD of the 17 songs we will be learning this year. We will see you in January!
Sincerely, Sara Pratt and Neisha Coutlee
Every Friday, "Praise Notes" are read during morning announcements. These students are called to the office and get thier picture taken. Students can earn a "Praise Note" by being caught doing kind things throughout the school and classrooms.
