Track Meet Volunteers Needed

The track meets are scheduled for the following dates: 

5th grade Tues.  April 24th

6th grade Wed.  April 25th

4th grade Tues.  May 1st

3rd grade Wed.  May 2nd

Possible rain out dates May 8th, 15th & 16th 

Mapleton Parks and Recreation has asked our school to provide 1-2 parent volunteers per participating class. They will provide breakfast, lunch, and a t-shirt to all volunteers. Click on the link below for more information and to sign up to help. All volunteers must sign up by April 12th.

Annie Play Performance

We are so excited for the 'Annie' play tonight. We appreciate all the support we receive each and every year. The play showtimes will be at 7pm tonight and tomorrow night only.

Due to the high attendance at our school plays, we ask that everyone be respectful and only save up to 4 seats. Doors will open at 6:30pm. Tickets will not be sold until 6:30pm as well. This allows the cast members to get things ready before the audience fills up the auditorium. Tickets are $1 and concessions will be available tonight as well.

We ask that everyone be seated by 6:55pm. This will allow us to assess the attendance and have everyone move to the center to fit in additional audience members.

The cast members have worked really hard and are very excited to show you their talents tonight.

Show Choir - Music at the Mountain

Attention for Show Choir Parents

We have been invited to sing at Maple Mountain High School’s Music at the Mountain, April 11, at 7:00 P.M. In order to be ready for this, I would like to have some additional choir practices for JUST the Show Choir kids.

The first practice for this would be on Thursday, March 22, at 8:00 a.m. This will give us a chance to learn the combined number for that concert. This is the same week as our combined practice with the Jr. Choir. (March 21st at 8:00 a.m.)

 I would also like to practice with the kids on Wednesday, March 28th at 8:00 a.m. That practice will be to polish up our two numbers and the combined number as well. I won’t keep the kids as long for this practice.

Then, one more practice on Wednesday, April 11th, at 8:30 a.m., so we can make sure we have everything ready for that night.

The kids will need to wear Hawaiian/Tropical/ bright clothing, Flip flops/sandals, sunglasses, beach towels, etc. Don’t go and buy anything. Just have the kids let me know if they need to borrow some of my things for that night.

I don’t know what our schedule is for that night. We will be assigned a certain section for sitting in at the auditorium. If you need to leave before it’s over, that’s okay with me. Just let me know that that is your plan.

Thank you so much for allowing us to work with your children in choir year. We love it, and we hope it shows!

Maple Mountain Student Council Helps with D.A.R.E.

Maple Mountain High School Student Council came to Sierra Bonita to help Officer Dewitt with our D.A.R.E program. The student council members were part of the panel for Sierra Bonita students to answer questions. 

We appreciate the Maple Mountain High School Student Council for being outstanding examples to our Elementary Students. As well as, officer Dewitt from out Spanish Fork Police Department.

Praise Notes 3-9-2018

Attributions: 

Every Friday, "Praise Notes" are read during morning announcements. These students are called to the office and get thier picture taken. Students can earn a "Praise Note" by being caught doing kind things throughout the school and classrooms.

Green Ribbon Week will be March 26th-30th

Green Ribbon Week will be March 26th-30th

Monday: Be “Super” safe! Wear a superhero costume, hat or shirt. No masks please. Pledge to be safe on the streets by sending back your signed Student Pledge to the school for a green “Frootie” and to be placed on our “Pedestrian Safety Tree”. Also, tie your green ribbon on a place that will remind you to be safe- on your backpack, lunch box, bike, scooter etc.

Tuesday: CrAzy Sock Day! You will receive a bike reflector when you draw your footprint on the green half sheet of paper and return it to school to include in our “Safe Path” through the halls.

Wednesday: Wear Green Wednesday! The classes that have 100% of the kids and teacher wearing a green shirt will be entered into a donut drawing. Seven classes will receive donuts. One class per grade level!

Thursday: CrAzy for Safety! Wear crazy hair or a crazy hat and return your filled out “Pedestrian Safety Quiz” to the school to be entered into a drawing for a new bike helmet.

Friday: Team up for Safety! Wear sports attire and walk to school in groups for safety. Meet the UVU Mascot and receive a small prize for those who walk to school. Afternoon kindergarten students who walk to school can go to the office for their prize.

Kindergarten Pre-Registration March 12th - 21st

Attributions: 

Kindergarten pre-registration for Sierra Bonita Elementary will be held March 12th - March 21st. Walk-in registration will be held on March 21st in our Bears Den. The nurse will be unavailable from 2-3:30pm that day. *NOTE-These dates are pre-registration only for your Kindergartener.

You will STILL NEED TO COMPLETE FALL REGISRATION ONLINE beginning July 25th by going to https://sierrabonita.nebo.edu/registration OR in person at the school on August 1st from7 am-4:00pm. This will allow you to electronically sign all the policies.

AM/PM requests will be taken the last two weeks of May in the office.

Please bring the following to pre-register your Kindergarten student:

*Birth Certificate

*Immunizations

*3 Proof of residency - (i.e; Mortgage statement, rental agreement, city bill, power bill, cell phone bill, etc.)

To save time on registration day, please visit our school's website and select the Registration tab. There you will see steps to register your student online. When you select the ASPIRE STUDENT iNFORMATION SYSTEM, you will need to decide which selection applies to you. Please read the descriptions to decide which best fits you. I have added the examples as an attachment to this post.

Please spread the word to those who do not have older siblings that attend the school.
