Our fantastically talented Mr. Myles Peterson has been giving Sierra Bonita two years of a fun and exciting competition.  And this year we are welcoming the third annual 5th and 6th grade basketball tournament! Our 5th grade girl’s championship game was between Kaitlin Dixon and Sheridan Liggett.  The championship went into overtime. No shots were made in the two minutes of overtime and sudden death approached the players. After five rounds, Kaitlin made a basket. Sheridan had one last chance to make a basket and keep the championship going. Sheridan missed her foul shot.

Sierra Bonita Elementary students were the recipients of an Eagle Scout project from Cayson Moss. Cayson saw a need for a more efficient way to store scooters outside and came up with an idea for scooter racks. Thank you to Cayson who donated his time and energy on this project for our school.

Sierra Bonita students earned a reward activity for reaching their reading goals.  Students enjoyed ice cream cones and otter pops. We are proud of our students for all of their hard work!

Thank you to Sierra Bonita’s PTA for their kindness and generosity. Teacher appreciation week included thoughtful gifts, delicious food, decorated doors, and much more! 

The Maple Ridge PTA will be holding its first meeting on April 29 at 6pm at Maple Mountain High School.  If your children will be attending Maple Ridge next fall this is a great opportunity to become involved!
