Ashley, Ashley, Ashley, where do we begin? We are not sure if there is any other employee that has been fired more, and yet somehow still has a job here at Sierra Bonita Elementary! When we heard she was getting an award this morning, we knew for sure that if she could rise above the daily firings, she had to now be Garrett’s favorite, at least his favorite Ashley, well at least in his top 10 favorite Ashley’s!
Ashley is either freezing or burning up during recess duty, and it changes daily! She is also the easiest person alive to scare and even if you have been standing right next to her for ten minutes, you can scare her.
There is no other take home library in the district that is as top notch as the one we have here at Sierra Bonita! She takes a lot of pride in organizing and making sure everything is as it should be, and is amazing at her job. We would be sunk when the laminator runs out of laminating film, if we didn’t have Ashley. She has been able to get that machine unstuck many, many times! All of the teachers have been blessed by Ashley’s services, either making copies in the early morning hours, or laminating things or even covering their classes in emergencies!
Ashley’s kids love her, both here at school as well as her own kids at home.
Ashley is currently working here at school, comes back to supervise basketball and other games in the evenings and on the weekends and has taken on a full time school load with 6 online classes, obtaining straight A’s, all as a single mother of 3 teenagers. To say she is amazing is an understatement!
Ashley Nielsen is very deserving of this award and we all want to thank her for the hard work and dedication she puts into her job! Ashley, it doesn’t go unnoticed!
