Sierra Bonita fifth-grade students had the opportunity to participate in the “Walk for Life” project designed by Spanish Fork City, the Spanish Fork/Salem Chamber, and American Legion. Over 1,200 students in 13 elementary schools were invited to the May 17 and 18 educational day. Students were educated at eight different stations where Veterans shared stories of their service.
Miss Spanish Fork, Jourdyn Reid, held a contest to see which Elementary school could collect the most shoes for Africa! Sierra Bonita Elementary won the contest and collected over 1,100 shoes!!
The reward was allowing the students to dunk Miss Spanish Fork in a dunk tank!! Today, she made good on her promise and was dunked by a few of our students!!
