Sierra Bonita was privileged to hear from Mrs. Tami Pyfer, Education Advisor to Governor Herbert, during a Monday morning assembly. The assembly was a celebration of the 200th anniversary of the National Anthem. Students learned the history of the National Anthem and watched as students and teachers sang, recited, danced to, and portrayed all four verses. Mrs.

2014 marks the 200th Anniversary of our National Anthem. Monday, February 3rd, we will be holding a school-wide assembly at 9:00a.m. (right after morning announcements) in celebration of the National Anthem. We encourage you to wear Red, White and Blue this day.
Crystal Apple Award
Mr. Jeff Loreen is this year’s recipient of the Crystal Apple award. Mr. Loreen teaches 6th grade and according to his team, has a “magical” rapport with his students. When asked why students love Mr. Loreen, this is their response:
“You’re a wonderful teacher because you make me laugh so hard! Even though you are billions and billions of years old, you are still a great teacher cause age doesn’t matter.” Mylee
