The Jungle Book School Play

Submitted by tiffany.manwaring on

Parents emjoyed coming to the evening performance of "The Jungle Book". We had many fifth and sixth grade students audition for this play. If they didn't want to be in the play, they were part of the set design, and back stage crew members. Tonight went off without a hitch! We are so proud of our 5th and 6th grade Sierra Bonita students for working so hard to memorize their parts and then to have it all come together in the end. Job well done students!!

Life in a Jar

Mr. Myles Peterson’s 6th grade class presented an extraordinary performance of Life in a Jar.  This student-produced drama began as a project for four 9th grade students from Kansas.  They discovered the story of a Polish Catholic woman named Irena Sendler who saved 2,500 Jewish children from the Warsaw Ghetto during the Holocaust.  The Kansas students researched Irena Sendler and wrote a script depicting her story.
