Crystal Averett is an outstanding second grade teacher at Sierra Bonita Elementary and has been chosen to receive this year's Crystal Apple Award. She is a dedicated member of our faculty and provides great support as the grade level leader. She is organized, patient, kind, and a calming influence. She takes on many responsibilities and makes it all look easy! Crystal comes prepared to share her ideas and expertise and cares about all students and staff.
Friday, November 14th, students enjoyed watching Mr. Larsen get a pie thrown in his face! PTA held a membership drive and Sierra Bonita met that goal. Because that goal was met, PTA president, Amy Rasmussen, and Sierra Bonita faculty were able to get pies thrown in their faces! The students absolutely LOVED it! The excitement and cheers could be heard throughout the whole school!
Every Friday, "Praise Notes" are read during morning announcements. These students are called to the office and get thier picture taken. Students can earn a "Praise Note" by being caught doing kind things throughout the school and classrooms. Way to go!
Term 1 has ended and students earned an 'End of Term Reward Activity'. The students enjoyed a Magician! We can't wait to see what next term has in store for our students! Keep up the good work!
