Sierra Bonita had the opportunity to have Collin Kartchner meet with our 4th-6th grade students.

His message was to not compare their lives with the highlight reels they see on their phones. That to be really happy, they need to put their phone down and connect in real life with the real people around them who truly care about them. That likes, followers, Snap streaks, and retweets do not determine their worth, even though they're growing up in a society where the media and culture teach the opposite. That they are loved, and worthy of love, no matter the mistakes they've made, and that life is offline. They can spend their school days focused on what's happening to everyone else's lives on their phones, or they can look up and get involved in service or spend that time working on their own talents and chase their own dreams.
