This year, with COVID-19 requiring many kids to do school from home or online, we have partnered with Move Utah to make it so all students may participate.  The Walk & Roll Challenge runs from September to May and rewards students K-8 monthly prizes for walking and biking to school. Students track the days that they walked or biked to school (walking or biking to the bus counts) and then submit them online by the end of each month. Prize winners get chosen the first week of the following month. The more frequently a student walks or bikes to school, the greater their chance of winning sweet prizes like scooters and bikes. Parents who encourage their kids to walk or bike will also be entered into a separate drawing to incentivize their kids to participate. Depending on your situation, which we know can change daily, there are two ways to enter the challenge:
  1. Walk or bike to school OR if you are participating in school online, walk or bike for at least 20 minutes outside.* Each time you walk or bike to school (or for at least 20 minutes outside) you’ll be entered for an additional chance to win a sweet prize.**
  2. Use the progress chart  to track the days you walk or bike to school.
  3. Submit your progress online by the end of the month.

SUBMISSIONS ARE ONLY ACCEPTED ONLINE. PLEASE USE THE FORM BELOW.

*On days students walk or roll to school, they are not eligible to submit progress for home activities – one entry per student, per day.

**Winners will be notified by phone or email the first week of every month. #SierraBonita #Humansofsierrabonita #BeTheMagic #NeboHero #NeboSchoolDistrict #StudentSuccess #EmpowerStudents #EngageStudents #FocusOnStudents #LoveUTpublicSchools #UtPol #UtEd #ThankATeacher #LoveTeaching #covid19 #staywellnebo
