SEP / Student Led Conferences – Wednesday, March 19

We are excited to share with you that our SEP conferences on March 19 will be Student Led Conferences. Student Led Conferences provide opportunities for students to make learning active as they share with parents their knowledge and understanding of essential learning outcomes specific to their grade level by completing learning activities. These conferences will also help students evaluate their performance on key standards, and in turn, accept additional responsibility for their learning.

Student Led Conferences will include two parts.

Part one, students will complete learning      activities with parents.

Part two, conferencing time with teacher if      desired by parent, student, or teacher.

 Part One

We invite you to come with your student to complete the student led portion of the conference. Students will lead the conference by completing learning activities. Please come at one of the times listed on the schedule below.

 Part Two

We invite you to schedule a time to meet with your student’s teacher if you so desire. Meeting times will be scheduled in ten minute increments. If you would like to schedule a time to meet with your student’s teacher, please call the school office prior to March 19 or sign up for a time after you have completed the student led portion of the conference. The times set aside for parents and students to meet with teachers are listed below.

 Schedule   to Meet with Teacher

4:30 –   5:15

7:30 –   8:15

If more parents and students desire to meet with teacher than there are times provided, or if these times do not work into your schedule, please schedule a time with teacher to meet before or after school on another day.

Through student led conferences we hope to strengthen the partnership between home and school. We are excited about the individual progress of each student and hope that this will be a positive experience for both you and your student.
