Mr. Myles Peterson’s 6th grade class presented an extraordinary performance of Life in a Jar.  This student-produced drama began as a project for four 9th grade students from Kansas.  They discovered the story of a Polish Catholic woman named Irena Sendler who saved 2,500 Jewish children from the Warsaw Ghetto during the Holocaust.  The Kansas students researched Irena Sendler and wrote a script depicting her story. The story became so well-known because of these Kansas students that Life in a Jar has been performed over 285 times all across the United States, Canada, and Poland. Mr. Peterson’s class did an excellent job of portraying Irena Sendler’s story and message of love and heroism.  Well done 6th graders!
