Hello Parents,
As was shared in last month’s newsletter, I will not be the principal of Sierra Bonita beginning the 2016-2017 schoolyear as I have been asked to serve at the district office in the special education/federal programs department. I wanted you to know how grateful I am to have been part of the Sierra Bonita Community. I love coming to work eachday and to work alongside our remarkable students and staff. Thank you for your kindness and for the overwhelming support you have given me over the past five years. It’s been remarkable to be part of Sierra Bonita from its beginning days and to witness the high levels of achievement and excitement for learning that is ever present. The students, staff members, and families of Sierra Bonita are the most exceptional anywhere. I know the school will be in good hands as Garrett Andersen will serve as principal of this outstanding school. If you have any questions about this year or nextyear or need assistance in any way, please feel free to contact me or Garrett.Thank you!
Mike Larsen

Parents and Students of Sierra Bonita Elementary,
I am excited for my new opportunity to be a part of the Sierra Bonita community as the new principal. I look forward to getting to know each of you and to be able to interact with the students. I have a vested interest in our school community, as this is where my kids and family live and go to school. I know that all of us working together will help make a difference in each child’s life and future. As we approach the end of this school year and look forward to next year, I know many of you have concerns about what changes will come. Know that my intentions are to work with my faculty, parents and students to continue thegreat things happening at our school. I understand the vested interest you have in your child’s education. Because of this, I will continue to offer teacher requests the last 2 weeks of school. Forms will be available in the office from May16th-27th. Please be aware that the requests have certain criteria that needs to be met in order for me to consider therequest. Any requests that do not follow the criteria will not be considered. Thanks for all you do to make Sierra Bonita great!I am excited for and look forward to the future of Sierra Bonita.
Garrett Andersen
