Book Fair Hours!

It is Book Fair week! Come see us during the following times: 

Mon Feb 25 2:30-3:30 pm
Tues Feb 26 8:30-9:15 am & 3:15-4:15 pm
Wed Feb 27 8:30-9:15 am & 3:15-4:15 pm
Thurs Feb 28 8:30-9:15 am & 3:15-8:00 pm
Fri March 1  8:30-9:15 am 

Read Across America Day is this Friday March 1st. With that in mind, we'd like to challenge all students to read at least 120 minutes this week, write their minutes read on a piece of paper, and bring it to the Book Fair by Friday at 9 am for a chance to win  a prize.   

Due to changes in tax laws and Scholastic policies, sales will no longer be tax-exempt. However, Scholastic will continue to donate 50% of all sales to our school. Proceeds from this Book Fair will cover the cost of books for our school libraries and It Pays to Read.

Every Friday, "Praise Notes" are read during morning announcements. These students are called to the office and get thier picture taken. Students can earn a "Praise Note" by being caught doing kind things throughout the school and classrooms.

SEP Conferences - Thursday, February 28th

Our SEP conferences will be held this Thursday, February 28th.  These will be student led conferences so there will be no sign-ups for this conference. 

We recommend that those whose last name that starts with A-L to come any time from 3:30-5:30 and M-Z to come any time between 6-8.  We understand that this time does not work for everyone so if you need to come to the other session that is fine.  Teachers will be eating dinner from 5:30-6pm.  

Our book fair will also be open during our student led conferences from 3:15-8pm.

First of all, we are officially changing the name of our club to "CLIMBers Club" based on the goals we have and based on our school's mascot of the black bear :)  From now on, we will call ourselves the CLIMBers Club.

   --Parent Support will be about intense emotions, meltdowns, and behavior 

April 2 dates TBD (one will be the showcase night for Passion Projects) 

Thursday, May 2nd: 3:30-4:30 Last CLIMBers Club Meeting for the school year.  Treats!!!

Kindergarten Registration Moving to Summer

Dear Parents and Guardians,

This message is for parents/guardians who have children entering Kindergarten this fall. Please forward this to anyone who needs this information but may not receive this email. Kindergarten registration, traditionally held in March, will be moved to the summer and combined with grades 1-12. More detailed information regarding summer K-6 registration will be sent out to you before the end of the school year. Parents can prepare now for registering their Kindergarten children by making sure they have a birth certificate and that their child is current on the following immunizations: DTap, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Polio, Varicella and MMR by the end of July. We appreciate your help getting the word out. Spring Picture Day - Friday, February 15th

Attributions: 

Spring Pictures will be held this Friday, February 15th. This is completely OPTIONAL. Your child will not have their picture taken unless you have a picture packet with payment or have already pre-paid online. Picture packets have already been sent home. We will have extra picture packets available in the office.

Lost and Found Items

Attributions: 

Our lost and found is overloaded with jackets, gloves and lunchboxes. These items will be donated to charity Friday, February 15th after school. Please have your child check the lost and found for any missing items. We have been able to return several items to students because their names are labeled.
