2017 Utah State Elementary Chess Tournament
Saturday, March 18th 2017 Ernest L. Wilkinson Student Center, Third Floor 1 Campus Drive, Brigham Young University Provo, UT 84604
Eligibility: Tournament is open to Utah students in grades K-6. Schedule: Six round “Swiss”. No eliminations.
Time control is 30 minutes with 5 second delay for all rounds. First round begins at 8:30am. Round 1 pairings should be up by 7:30am.
Players should be seated by 8:15am. Sections: One section per grade. Students are required to play within their current grade. Byes: ½ point byes available (except for round 6), for students unable to attend all rounds if requested prior to the beginning of the tournament.
Two byes maximum. Entry Fee: Entry Fee: Registration link available at utahchess.com and at https://onlineregistration.cc/UCA/2017Elem.
• $15 if registration and funds are received by March 13.
• $25 if registration and funds are received by March 16.
• $35 on-site registration. Competitor will take a ½ point bye for round 1.
